So we’ve got a Chrome app!

That’s right!  If you’re using Chrome you can now use the RentShare App!  But how?  Why?  What’s a chrome app?

How to Get the RentShare Chrome App

In Google Chrome simply head over to the RentShare App at the Chrome Web Store, or search for RentShare in the Chrome Web Store.  Once there just click “Add” to install the RentShare Chrome App.

I don’t use Chrome Apps, so what’s it do?

Fair question.  And the answer boils down to three simple functions.

Apps Page

Like fancy bookmarks, the Chrome App Page makes launching certain web apps a breeze.  It’s a clean, simple enterface that gives you easy access to commonly used sites or apps. You can see I use it for Google Docs, Google Music,  RentShare, and so on. [/column]

Pin Shortcut to Taskbar

For commonly use Chome Apps you can create a shortcut and pin it to your dock or taskbar.  This allows for an easy launch of the app – great for standalone apps you regularly use like Google Music. [/column]

Run as Standalone Program

From your newly created shortcut you can launch RentShare (or any Chrome App) as a standalone program.  This means it runs in a streamlined Chrome window void or an address bar, settings or navigation controls – which means more real estate for  your app, and more of a native program feel.[/column]
